Giorgio Samorini, born in Bologna in 1957, is an ethnobotanist and ethnomycologist, a scholar in the field of the Science of psychoactive substances.

He has researched in Africa, Latin America, India and Europe the ancient and current use of hallucinogens among different tribes and cultures.

He is the editor of the international scientific journal Eleusis: Journal of Psychoactive Plants and Compounds.
