Guillermo Piro is a writer, journalist and translator. He was born on August 16, 1960 in Avellaneda, Province of Buenos Aires. His articles, reviews, interviews and travel chronicles appeared in Clarín, La Nación, Perfil, Página / 12, First, 3 Puntos, La Stampa and Los Inrockuptibles. He is the author of nine books. In poetry he published La golosina caníbal; Clouds; Study of hands; Correspondence; Saint Jean-David and From these beautiful beaches. In narrative, Versions of Niagara, Guillermo Hotel and Celeste and Blanca. He was director of the book magazine Gargantúa and editor of the supplement Cultura del diario Perfil. Guillermo Piro translated, among others, Juan Rodolfo Wilcock, Roberto Benigni, Emilio Salgari, Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, Andrea Zanzotto, Carlo Maria Cipolla, Enrico Brizzi, Federico Fellini, Paolo Rossi, Melissa P. and Ermanno Cavazzoni.
