Günter Barudio (April 5, 1942 in Dahn) is a German historian and author. Barudio is the son of a farmer from the Palatinate and grew up in Fischbach. He made a mining teaching, worked as an oil driller, was a locksmith and Automateneinrichter and studied at night school after high school 1965 law, philosophy, Scandinavian, Slavic and East European History in Frankfurt am Main. In 1969 he was a research stay in Uppsala and 1973 he received his doctorate in Frankfurt.
