Haim Omer is a professor of Psychology at the University of Tel Aviv. He is the author of eight books and more than eighty articles. It has developed the Nonviolent Resistance (NVR) model in its application to families, schools and communities. The model aims to increase parental authority by strictly non-violent and positive means. He has published many studies on the method and its applications with parents of children anxiety disorders, juvenile delinquency, teenage drivers, violence against siblings, child violence to parents and dropping out of school. His method has been the main theme of several international conferences (Greenwich, Antwerp, Munich and Malmo) which is instructed and practiced in many countries. In 2011 he founded, together with Irit Schorr-Sapir, the School of Peaceful Resistance that is considered the official place for learning of the Pacific Resistance and the new approach to authority.
