Harold Bloom

The son of Russian and Polish immigrants, Harold Bloom was born in New York in 1930, is one of the most influential in the world of criticism and literary studies figures. He currently serves as Professor of Humanities at Yale University and professor of English at New York University. He is general editor of the Chelsea House Library of Literary Criticism, and has written more than twenty books, including three volumes of The visionary company and Poetry and repression are counted, all published by Adriana Hidalgo editor.
