Herbert Marder

Herbert Marder was born in Vienna and raised and educated in the city of New York. His pioneering work, Feminism and Art. A study of Virginia Woolf, was published in 1968, early in the rescue of the Bloomsbury group. Emeritus Professor of English Literature at the University of Illinois, Marder currently resides in Champaign, Illinois, and Monhegan Island, Maine.
