Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm (Hanau, Germany, 1785-1863 / 1786-1859). Training philologists and folklore scholars. They were university professors in Kassel, Göttingen and the Humboldt University in Berlin. They traveled through their country talking with the farmers, with the vendors of the markets, with the lumberjacks and collecting stories of the locals, as well as studying the language and the ancient folklore of the region. The result of this work are his stories, including Hansel and Gretel, Blancanieves, etc., which they compiled with the title of Fairy Tales by the Brothers Grimm.
