Hernán Díaz (Buenos Aires, 1973) grew up in Sweden and has spent most of his life in the United States. He earned a PhD in Philosophy from New York University and is a professor at Columbia University. He has written the essay Borges, Between History and Eternity and the novel A Lo Far, finalist for the Pulitzer and PEN/Faulkner Prizes. He has collaborated in publications such as The Paris Review, Granta, Playboy, The Yale Review, McSweeney's and The New York Times.
