Ida Rodríguez Prampolini was born in the Port of Veracruz. She holds a PhD in Literature with a specialization in History. Since 1957, she has been a member of the Institute of Aesthetic Research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Since 1954, she has taught at the Faculty of Philosophy at UNAM.
