Irma Munguía [Zatarain] is a Mexican researcher and teacher. Master in Spanish Literature from the National Autonomous University of Mexico unam. PhD in Linguistics, specializing in Hispanic Linguistics, by Colégio de México colmex and by the Autonomous University of Madrid uam.

In his research he addresses topics such as grammar and teaching, syntactic theory and aphoristic discourse.

He has participated in the elaboration of books of secondary education, reference books of conjugation of verbs and manuals on the use of language. In 2004, it was sponsored by the National Association of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education anuies.

Currently, she is a research professor in the Department of Philosophy of the Autonomous Metropolitan University uam Iztapalapa, Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, in the Language Problems Area of Mexico.
