Itamar Orlev (Jerusalem, 1975) studied history and cinema in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, respectively, after which he has worked in the world of theater and in the publishing sector. As a writer, he has published short stories in various prestigious Israeli literary magazines. Bandido, winner of the prestigious Sapir Prize in 2015, is his first novel.
