Iván de la Nuez

Iván de la Nuez was born in Havana (1964) and lives in Barcelona. An essayist, critic and curator of exhibitions, he was in charge of outlining the Virreina-Center of the Image, of which he was its first director, and was responsible for Cultural Activities at the CCCB.

His books have been translated into several languages and among them are The perpetual raft, The salt map, Red fantasy. (Left intellectuals and the Cuban revolution), or Floods. (From the Wall to Guantánamo: artistic invasions at political borders).

Its exhibition projects - such as The Possible Island, Floods, Human Park, Banquet: Metabolism and Communication, Postcapital, Atopia or the retrospective of Joan Fontcuberta - have also had a notable impact.
