James Hillman

James Hillman (Atlantic City, 1926) studied psychology at the Sorbonne in Paris and at Trinity College Dublin, having worked in the Navy hospital in the United States between 1944 and 1946 he received a PhD from the University Zurich, as well as the diploma issued by the analyst Carl Gustav Jung Institut, which was later director of studies. In 1970 Hillman became editor of Spring Publications, publisher dedicated to books about the call "archetypal psychology," as well as mythology, philosophy and art. He co-founded the Dallas Institute for Humanities and Culture, which, together with the publisher said, is currently responsible for the publication of his complete works. He is the author, among other books, Re-imagining psychology, nominated for the Pulitzer Prize, The Myth of the analysis, and the nightmare Pan and The Soul's Code, on the bestseller list of The New York Times. A terrible love of war is his latest work.
