
James Marcus Schuyler (Chicago, United States, November 9, 1923; New York, United States, April 12, 1991) was an American poet awarded with, among others, the Pulitzer Prize in 1980 for his collection The Morning of the Poem . He was a central figure in the School of New York and is often associated with his colleagues in it John Ashbery, Frank O'Hara, Kenneth Koch and Barbara Guest.
