Janine Chasseguet-Smirgel is a French psychoanalyst, born in 1928 in Paris and dead on March 5, 2006 in Paris. She was a member of the Psychoshanalytique society of Paris. She studied the relationships between perversion and creation. As a psychologist, she was the first to defend the profane analysis.
