Javier María López Rodríguez

Javier María López Rodríguez (Lugo, 1969) is Professor of Music and History of Music and composer. As an instrumentalist he obtained the Higher Degree in the specialty of Transverse Flute, training in the jazz field. His chamber and orchestra works have been premiered by Filharmonía de Galicia, Quinteto Pentafonía, Taller Atlántico Contemporáneo, Ensemble s21, Parkensemblet, Grupo Instrumental Siglo XX, Vertixe Sonora or by virtuosos such as Eliseu Mera, Javier Simó, Pablo Devigo, María José Ladra, Javier Gutiérrez, Etienne Rolin, Bruno Laurent, Diego Ventoso, Guido Arbonelli, Daniel Cochrane or Violetta Zabbi. He has also written music for various stage productions. In the interpretive field, he participates or has participated in formations related to improvisation such as O.M.E.Ga (Galician Spontaneous Music Orchestra) or TDC (The Delightful Companion). He has published various articles related to musical pedagogy or musicology in magazines such as Music and Education, Galega do Ensino Magazine, Musicology Magazine and Electronic Journal of LEEME (European Electronic List of Music in Education).
