Jean-Pierre Vernant was a philosopher and historian of ancient Greece, honorary professor at the Collège de France. Vernant revolutionized with his eyes the vision of Greek civilization and showed that the Greek man built, from the myth, different logical forms that led to the birth of Western reason.
