Jeannette Clariond

Jeannette L. Clariond (Chihuahua, August 8, 1949) is a Mexican poet and translator. She is the founder of the publishing house Vaso Roto Ediciones and is recognized for being the main translator into Spanish of the Canadian poet Anne Carson. She has been recognized with the Efraín Huerta National Poetry Award. In 2021 she received the recognition of the Civil College Artistic Merit, awarded by the University Cultural Center of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León for her outstanding literary work. She has a degree in Philosophy and a teacher in Science Methodology and Spanish Letters. In the year 2000 she obtained the Rockefeller / CONACULTA scholarship and the Banff CONACULTA scholarship for translators 2004, as well as several national and international awards for her works and translations.
