He was born in 1967, in Illinois. He is one of the best-known musicians and composers in the United States. It started in 1987 with the alternative country band Uncle Tupelo. Since Wilco's founding in 1994, Tweedy has composed songs on all ten albums for the band he leads. In 2014 he presented Sukierae, a musical collaboration with his son, drummer Spender Tweedy. Since 2017 he has released three solo albums: Together at Last, Warm and Warmer.
