English author Jen Campbell studied English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, after which she moved to London, where she worked as a bookseller. She currently sells books in the media at an antiquarian bookstore and is engaged in writing and reviewing books through a YouTube channel.

Campbell achieved great success in 2012 with her book Strange Things That You Hear in Bookstores, a compilation of funny and strange anecdotes collected after several years as a bookseller. Campbell has been translated into ten languages and is also the author of short stories and poetry.
