Jessica Abel is the author of La perdida (Astiberri, 2008), Escaparate (Astiberri, 2008) and Banda sonora (Astiberri, 2009). These last two titles collect stories and drawings from the comic book Artbabe, published by herself between 1992 and 1999. She has also collaborated with Ira Glass on Radio: An Illustrated Guide, a comic on how the radio program This American Life is made. Abel won the Harvey and Lulu awards for the revelation author in 1997; La perdida won the Harvey Prize for the best new series in 2002. She has combined her artistic work with the teacher, the result of which is her book Drawing Words & Writing Pictures (MacMillan, 2013). His latest work is Trish Trash: Rollergirl sur Mars (Dargaud 2015). Since 2012 he lives in Angoulême (France).
