Pedro Joaquín Chamorro Cardenal, (Granada, September 23, 1924 - Managua, January 10, 1978), was a Nicaraguan journalist, writer, businessman and politician opposed to the government of Luis Somoza Debayle and the dictatorship of Anastasio Somoza Debayle; director of the newspaper La Prensa, was killed.
