Johann Gottlieb Fichte (Rammenau, May 19, 1762 - Berlin, 27 January 1814) was a German philosopher of great importance in the history of Western thought. As a continuation of the critical philosophy of Kant and Schelling both precursor and philosophy of the spirit of Hegel, is considered one of the fathers of the so called German Idealism.
