Jordi Corominas Balsareny, 1961 He holds a PhD in Philosophy. He has worked at the Central American University of Nicaragua and El Salvador. At the latter he has directed the doctoral program in Ibero-American philosophy. He is currently a professor at the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences in Barcelona and co-director of the journal Periferia. His publications include: Identity and Latin American Thought; First Ethics, X. Zubiri's Contribution to the Contemporary Ethical Debate; Xavier Zubiri: Sonorous Solitude; and Zubiri and Religion. His main interests are the development of a radical first philosophy in the orbit of phenomenology and Zubiriian studies, and its projection in the field of the philosophy of religion and a renewed understanding of the most original elements of Christianity.
