Jordi Pigem

He is a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Barcelona (1998). From 1998 to 2003 he was a professor at the Masters in Holistic Science at Schumacher College, Dartington and the University of Plymouth (England). He has been a visiting professor or speaker at various universities in Europe and America. At present he is a professor of various university courses, such as the Master in Organic Agriculture at the University of Barcelona.

He is the author of several books, including The Odyssey of the West, Good Crisis, GPS, The New Reality and Vital Intelligence, all of them published by Kairós.

Between 1995 and 1996 he was Raimon Panikkar's assistant in the publication of his works. He has received the Philosophy Award from the Institut d ’Estudis Catalans (1998), the Essay Award from Resurgence and the Scientific and Medical Network (2006) and the 25th Joan Maragall Award (2016).

He began his career in the 1980s as a journalist specializing in the ecological paradigm, being the coordinator of Integral magazine and editor of the collective work Nueva Conciencia: personal fulfillment and planetary balance for the 21st century. He collaborates with various media in Spanish, Catalan and English.
