Joris Luyendijk

Joris Luyendijk - (Amsterdam, 1971) studied Arabic and social sciences at the universities of Amsterdam and Cairo. For five years he was a correspondent for several Dutch newspapers in the Middle East, an experience that gave rise to the book Hello Everybody! One Journalist's Search for the Truth in the Middle East. Despite the fact that his knowledge of the world of finance was close to zero (or precisely because of it), the Guardian of London commissioned him in 2011 to investigate the interiorities of the City from his anthropological innocence. Thus this book was born.
