
José Luis Hernández Garvi. The literary career of writer José Luis Hernández Garvi (Madrid, 1966) encompasses various genres, in which he has received more than thirty national awards. A novelist, poet, and playwright, his work as a popular historian appears in several media outlets, including print, radio, and television. As an essayist, he has authored more than a dozen books. In 2014, his essay *Heroes, Villains, and Geniuses: Distinguished Foreigners in the Service of the Habsburgs* won the prestigious Algaba Prize.
