Josep Maria Mur Vera was born in 1953 in Cornellà de Llobregat. He is a master degree in Law and Master in Management of Schools. Since 1990 he is inspector of Education. He is currently deputy chief inspector of Lleida. He has been professor and director of public schools and coordinator of the School Inspection Organization of Catalonia. He teaches the Master of Management and School Management at the University of Barcelona and management training courses in Catalonia and other regions. He has authored and co-authored articles and books on law, management and school organization. It also coordinates and co-author of the Handbook of educational legislation and Educalex data base.
