Juan Carlos Sanz, color scientist and image theorist, researcher in chromatology and iconolinguistics, is a writer, plastic artist and professor of Image Theory, Design and Audiovisual Communication. . He is a member of the Color Committee of the Spanish Optical Society, as well as the Study Group on Environmental Color Design of the Association Internationale de la Couleur. His works include "The Color Book" (1993, 2004), "The Image Book" (1996) and, as co-author, "Akal Color Dictionary" (2001), "CMY-CMYK Chromatological Atlas" (2003 ), "Color Guide" (2005) and "Chromatic Harmony" (2006).
