Judith Suro has been a professor-researcher at the University of Guadalajara (Mexico) since 1991. A pioneer in special education in her native state of Jalisco, where in the 1980s she held administrative positions both in the Ministry of Public Education (director of the Groups Program Integrated and director of the Psychopedagogical Center) as well as in the System for the Integral Development of the Family (head of the Psychoeducational Department). She has been an advisor in special education and has taught at the Escuela Normal de Educación Especial and the Universidad Panamericana. During her academic career, she has been a therapist in special education for children with language and reading disorders. She has participated in international research projects oriented to the design of teaching materials for reading and writing. Currently, she is starting a research project on the development of argumentation in children.
