Kalman Barsy

Kalman Barsy (Budapest, Hungary, 1942) is an Argentine writer of Hungarian origin, author of novels, short stories and essays. After a stay in Austria her family in times of postwar emigrates to Argentina in 1949 where Barsy spent his childhood and youth. At 21 he is released to tour South America in hitchhiked with a friend. From Argentina to Amazon this adventurous journey in the context of the sixties is a source of inspiration for his acclaimed novel Love Notebook (1989), finalist of the prize "House of the Americas" in 1989 and "Romulo Gallegos" in 1991.
