Katarína Macurová is an author and illustrator based in Bratislava, where she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. As a notorious traveler, she seeks inspiration in foreign countries, especially Mexico, where she lived for almost a year. Her last trip took her to a city in El Paso in Texas, where she learned about Mexican-American mural art.
