Laure Charpentier

French writer born in 1952, Laure Charpentier is the author of about fifteen novels, including Le coeur qui flanche (1979) and Tout honte bue (1981), as well as J’ai soif! (1996), Maison a vendre (2001) and Tristeza (2005). In 1972, she published her first novel, Gigolá, «work of youth» according to the author and pioneer of current female literary trends — hence it was censored, for the provocative nature of its text, and recovered by the Fayard publishing house in 2002.
