León Felipe

León Felipe

Felipe Camino Galicia de la Rosa, known as León Felipe (Tábara, April 11, 1884-Mexico City, September 18, 1968), was a Spanish poet. The name of León Felipe, with which he has established himself as one of the great poets of the Spanish language, and by which he is universally known, was used for the first time in 1919, when in Almonacid de Zorita (Guadalajara) he concluded the version final version of his book Versos y oraciones de Caminante. Although his style is very personal and difficult to classify —and due to his age he belongs to a previous chronological environment—, he is sometimes assigned to the list of poets of the Generation of 27.
