Leslie S. Klinger (b.1946) is regarded as one of the world's leading authorities on Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, H. P. Lovecraft, and the 19th-century fiction genre, and he frequently teaches courses on these characters and their works at UCLA. His work has been the recipient of numerous awards and nominations, including the Edgar® for Best Biographical-Critical Book in 2005 for The New Annotation Sherlock Holmes: Tales, also published in Spanish in the Great Books collection of Ediciones Akal. His presentations and essays have been published in numerous books, graphic novels, academic magazines, and newspapers, and he has been an advisor for various films, novels, and comics related to Holmes and Dracula.
