All philosophy is metaphysical or regrets not being so. Metaphysics should lead us to be attentive to the beauty of the world and help us discover it. Even when the world is going bad, beauty exists.
The basic idea of metaphysics is that this beauty has a reason, and that man is part of it. By discovering the beauty of things, by recognizing the dignity of the human being and daring to think about his capacity for transcendence, metaphysics provides us with reasons to live, be and hope.
Our understanding of the world rests, then, on the relationship with others, with the environment, with ourselves, with the hereafter or its silence.
