Llorenç Raich Muñoz (Barcelona, 1959) Professor of the Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya since 1987, where he teaches the subjects of Image and Perception, News and Documentation and Visual Narrative. Her teaching work is combined in the IEFC with that of co-responsible for the Department of Cultural Activities. He has been invited as a lecturer and lecturer at the University of Cabueñes-Gijón-, at the Can Basté Photographic Space, at the Pedro Meyer Foundation, at the Gran Canaria Photo 2016 Encuentro, and at the Aterlierretaguardia in Barcelona, where he held several photography seminars and creation. In 2009 he collaborates with the SCAN Festival with a proposal of authors for the exhibition Talents Latents, and in 2010 his curated project Narrativas Latentes is selected in the Trasatlántica contest of PHotoEspaña. In 2016 he curated the exhibition El vel de l'ordre for the Barcelona Visions Gallery, and has participated as a jury in the Emerging and Visited-Dialogues organized by the BFOTO Festival. Through the Department of Cultural Activities of the IEFC he has co-curated the following exhibitions: Docu -ments, Contemporary Art Center La Sala, Vilanova i La Geltrú (2011), Youth and coexistence, Castell de Montjuïc, CRIB- Barcelona City Council (2011), Landscape time, IEFC (2013), Prop, IEFC (2014), Carretera oberta, IEFC (2014), and B / N_4, IEFC (2015), among others. He has collaborated in the planning of the 1st Social Photography Conference, Palau de la Virreina (2014) and, recently, he has been part of the curatorship of the 1st Conference on Contemporary Photography, Palau de la Virreina (2015), and the II Conference of contemporary photography, Palau de la Virreina (2017), both organized by the IEFC. His line of research focuses mainly on the poetic and narrative aspects of the photographic medium as shown in his audiovisuals Son Siberià, White Nights, Rüzgâr, Nic Dwa Razy, Tríturais, Becoming and The Journey of Kathleen Ferrier. Photography, literature and poetry to intertwine fiction and document. He has published several texts in articles, books and catalogs of exhibitions such as In the light itself, The duality of light, Through ..., The first voice, A photograph, The reliefs of the sphere, That other, The dialogues of a walk, Threshold, Written Images, Essence and Presence, Alike and The Nature of Light (presented by The Pencil of Nature, by William Henry Fox Talbot). In his role as an essayist he has published the following works: Corpografía. The body in contemporary photography (2012), Photographic Poetics (2014) and Photography and poetic motif (2015), all edited by Casimiro libros, editorial specialized in theory and writings on art.
