Ludwig Binswanger in Kreuzlingen was born on 13 April 1881 he was assistant of Bleuler and Jung PhD in Burghölzli Zurich clinic. In 1911 he became director of the psychiatric clinic Bellevue. In the early 1920s he came to the philosophy of Husserl and Heidegger, and began to work toward an existential therapy. He died in Kreuzlingen on February 5, 1966.
