Ludwig Zeller

Ludwig Zeller (Chile, 1927). Internationally recognized for his prolific work as a poet and visual artist, his work is inscribed as a remarkable production within the avant-garde, specifically, surrealism. He is the author of books of poems Exodus and other solitudes (1957), Seven caligramas cut paper (1969), Woman In Dream (1975), Mirages (1983, coauthored with Susana Wald), Images in the flaming eye (1999) , Questions to the medium and other poems (2009); as well as the novel River Loa, the station of Dreams (1994). His work has been translated into English, French and Portuguese. As artist has mounted exhibitions in the United States, Argentina, France, England, Canada, Germany and Mexico, among others. He was founder and director of several magazines and publishers. After his departure from Chile, she lived in Canada for several years; since 1993 he resides in San Andrés Huayapam, Oaxaca.
