Luis Alegre Zahonero is Professor of Philosophy at the Complutense University of Madrid. He is the author of several books, among which The order of «Capital» (with Carlos Fernández Liria, Akal, 2010; Liberating Prize for Critical Thinking) and The place of poets. An essay on aesthetics and politics (2017). Also with Carlos Fernández Liria and others, he has published in Akal Editions Education for Citizenship. Democracy, capitalism and the rule of law and the series of textbooks of Philosophy. He has been one of the founding members of Podemos, general coordinator of the already historic Assembly of Vistalegre, general secretary of Madrid and member of the state leadership until his return to academic life.
