Luis Gómez Llorente (Segovia, 1939) is a secondary school teacher, Professor of Philosophy at the lES Virgen de la Paloma, Madrid. He worked for thirteen years in private school, then going to public education. Since 1964, exerted continuously teaching, except in the 1977-1982 brackets holding the position of deputy for Asturias during the constituent legislature and the first regular legislature being Deputy Speaker and member of the Constitutional Commission and Commission Education.
Intervened actively in creating the movement of teachers from the sixties culminating expression of his theory with the "democratic alternative of teaching" (1976).
Written His work deals with the history of ideas and education policy. Parliamentary speeches and articles in educational and trade magazines.
His writings follow a continuous outreach effort is part of a sustained and tenacious endeavor in defense of the public school, driven by the conviction that it can be a powerful lever for social leveling.
