Luis Martínez Andrade (Puebla, 1981) is a doctor of sociology from the École des Hautes Études in Social Sciences of Paris. In 2009 he received the First Prize of the International Essay Contest "Thinking Against the Current" organized by the Cuban Book Institute, the Ministry of Culture of Cuba and the Editorial in Social Sciences. He has made a couple of postdoctoral stays at the Université catholique de Louvain (CriDIS) and at the Collège d’études mondiales / Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme. His main research topics are the sociology of religion and culture, critical theory, political ecology, Latin American Marxism and the decolonial turn.
