Maite Méndez Baiges

Maite Baiges Méndez is Professor of Contemporary Art at the University of Málaga. He has been a fellow of the Spanish Academy in Rome, a professor of aesthetics at the Autonomous University of Madrid and a visiting professor at the University of Michigan. She is author of the books The look useless. The work of art in the contemporary age (Madrid, 1992) and Modernity and tradition in the work of Giorgio de Chirico (Mexico City, 2001), and collaborates in Letras Libres, Notebooks Hispanic, Revista de Occidente and EXITBOOK magazines. He has also participated in the translation of Lives of the most excellent architects, painters and sculptors, Giorgio Vasari.
