Manuel de León

Manuel de León. Mathematician, Research Professor at the CSIC and founder of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ICMAT). He has been a member of the Executive Committee of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) and the International Council of Science (ICSU). He is a full member of the Royal Academy of Sciences and a corresponding member of the Royal Canary Academy of Sciences. His extensive dissemination activity includes the following books: The Mathematics of the Solar System (with J. C. Marrero and D. Martín de Diego, 2009); Mathematics and the Physics of Chaos (with M. A. Fernández-Sanjuán, 2013); The Geometry of the Universe (2013), and Breaking Codes. The Life and Legacy of Turing (with Á. Timón, 2014) and The Deceptive Simplicity of Triangles. From Herón's Formula to Cryptography (with Á. Timón, 2019).
