Manuel de León. Mathematician, Research Professor at the CSIC and founder of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ICMAT). He has been a member of the Executive Committee of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) and the International Council of Science (ICSU). He is a full member of the Royal Academy of Sciences and a corresponding member of the Royal Canary Academy of Sciences.
