Manuel Rico (Madrid, 1952) is a poet, novelist and literary critic. Among his books are the novels The Slow Goodbye of the Trams (1992), An Oblique Look (1995) and Trains in the Mist (2005), and the Poetry Books Uncertain Papers (1991) and Where There Were Never Angels (2003). He has received several awards, among which are the Andalusia Novel Prize, for the days of Eishenhower, and the Juan Ramón Jiménez Hispano-American Prize for Poetry, for the density of mirrors. He currently collaborates in various national media.
