Maranke Rinck was born in 1976 in Holland, Netherlands. Graduated in sociology, she combines her work as a writer of children's books with teacher training, and also teaches creative writing workshops. For his work he has won numerous awards: IBBY Honor List, Parent's Choice Award and the Goldfinch award. His latest book, Tangram Kat was selected in his country among the best illustrated books of 2016.
