Marc Perelman was born in 1953. An architect by training, he wrote a philosophy thesis on the relationship between the body and architecture. He is a professor of aesthetics at the Université Paris Ouest-Nanterre La Défense. He was
one of the founders of the mythical sports critic magazine Quel corps? He founded and directed Les Éditions de la Passion. At Éditions Verdier he directs the «Art et architecture» collection, and at Presses de Paris Ouest, the collection
«Livre et society». He is the author of numerous books, including L’ Ère des stades: Genèse et structure d’ un espace historique, Urbs ex machina, Le Corbusier and (with Jean-Marie Brohm) Le Football, une peste émotionnelle.
