Professor of Ancient History at the University of Santiago de Compostela, he is specialized in the study of different aspects of the history of ancient ideas and religions. His books include "The Melancholic King. Anthropology of the Fragments of Heraclitus" (1992), "Mythology and myths of pre-Roman Hispania III" (1999) and "Dumézil, 1898-1986" (1999).
