In 1988 she founded the Centro Hara de Terapias Psicocorporales, one of the first in Madrid that began working on activities related to personal growth and self-knowledge. In 2007, after perceiving a high percentage of patients in her practice who had suffered sexual abuse in childhood and after 15 years working on this issue, she founded ASPASI, the Association for the Healing and Prevention of Sexual Abuse in Childhood. There she Margarita is dedicated to social awareness and training and promotes the protection of children's rights.

She works as a psychologist and therapist in individual sessions and gives a wide variety of workshops and conferences both in her center and in education and teaching centers, associations, universities, etc. to teachers, doctors and all kinds of public. She has intervened and collaborated for more than 25 years on television, radio, magazines and newspapers as an expert psychologist in communication, self-esteem, affectivity, etc. She is a reference psychologist in cases of child sexual abuse for news programs and public and private television.

She is the author of "Warning signs of child abuse" in the Practical Guide to Good Child Treatment and collaborator in the Save the Children report, "Spanish justice against child sexual abuse in the family environment".
