Marie Madeleine Davy (13 September 1903 – 1 November 1998) was a French historian and philosopher specializing in medieval philosophy.

He describes the implications of the symbolic in all dimensions of medieval life: "Thanks to the symbol, for the Romanesque man the doors of the kingdom not only move, but open according to the degree of attention of each one. The whole Cosmos surrenders to the understanding of the spirit."

He died on November 1, 1998, at the age of 95.
